We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for aspiring bands and musicians across the North East. In collaboration with Hardwick Festival, we’re hosting a Battle of The Bands competition right here at The Newgate Social in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Battle of The Acoustics!

Downstairs at The WonderBar on selected Thursdays will host an acoustic battle of the bands—free for anyone to enter!

Same rules apply: customers will vote for their favourite solo singer, who will then advance to the next stage. The winner of Battle of the Acoustics will perform on the Treehouse Stage at Hardwick Festival 2025!Battle of the Acoustics dates:
